The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group understands precisely where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Questers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
